Education
and Adoption Center acquired
in 1999:
In July of 1999 the Auglaize County Humane Society had the opportunity to purchase the 4400 square foot building adjacent to our present shelter. We were yearning to improve our services by providing more adoption opportunities for the animals we shelter, as well as an education area to meet with school children to learn about kindness. Because of its proximity to the building we occupy, the new building would provide more space, and we could use the old building as well. It was the perfect solution to our expansion plans.
Through the generous donations of our membership and the community we have now eliminated over 90% of the mortgage on this new property. This new Education and Adoption Center will allow us to continue to operate as one of the finest animal shelters in Northwest Ohio.
